
David was raised in Southern California and came to know the Lord as his personal Savior while in High School. With a desire to be involved in some area of ministry he completed college at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Later he received his Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Southwest Missouri State University.
Janet was raised as the daughter of missionaries Rudy and Lorraine Johnson, in Lima, Peru. Her and David met while attending BBC in Springfield, where she graduated with a Bachelors in Church Music Composition. Later, as a part-time teacher at the college she also served as BBC's Counselor to Missionary Kids.
In the course of a year they will make over 100 trips to the airport, and have guests in their home in almost as many nights. Requests vary from medical needs, to teaching materials, to parts needed for equipment, to simple gifts sent to family members here in the States.

In addition to their role with LAMP,
David and Janet are also involved in the daily ministry of IBB Church.
They have two grown children.
Kyle, with his wife Nicole, live in the Atlanta, GA area and are involved in
serving at North Point Community Church on the weekends. Their younger son
Eric is attending Florida State University.
